At Amherst Wolverines, our mission is to foster a friendly and inclusive environment where youth can thrive BOTH ON AND OFF THE FIELD.
THE WOLverines have been serving the amherst community for over 40 years. within those years we have grown and developed our program to ensure we are not only developing young athletes but also encouraging future community leaders.
we pride ourselves on the measures we take to ensure the safety of our young athletes. from background checks on all volunteers to rigorous and professional safety inspections on equipment. we ensure our coaches are up-to-date on all safety protocols and rules within the league guidelines. safety is a number one priority within our organization.
the Amherst Wolverines have developed strong relationships with local community leaders, organizations, and businesses. within those partnerships we have been able to expand our connections to those we serve to include free community events during the summer.
in 2023 the wolverines seceded from the Central Virginia youth football league (CVYfl) and joined the seminole district youth football league (sdyfl) where our varsity football team became the inaugural champions.
